Luxurious Sheepskin

Oh dang! How luxurious does this look! Werner Christ Horse Basic Plus is a sheepskin bareback riding pad. The Plus versions were made especially for horses with pronounced withers. Like other bareback pads, it is ridden without stirrups. The front is more open on this saddle to give you freedom of movement. No leg blocks or pommel.

California Fur Saddle

In Germany it is referred to as a "California Fur Saddle". Christ fur saddles do not have a fixed saddle tree, so they are ideally suited for every horses' back. Christ fur saddles don't have to be fitted, because only soft and flexible materials are used and nothing hinders or restricts the movements of the horse, therefore, CHRIST fur saddles suit all horses.

The seat is made entirely of lambskin and has a depth of approximately 30mm, which is over an inch so its easy on your tush! It also has a removable back support cushion.

The padding on the left and right of the spinal canal is easily removed and increases the rider's seat comfort and also protects the horse's back. 

Ride all year, even in the heat

In the summer it is so soft so you can ride in shorts on your lambskin saddle. The fur creates air pockets which allow for air circulation. For your horse it means that the sweat is absorbed and sucked off by the coat, which makes it more comfortable when riding. In the winter nothing compares to the warmth of sheepskin.

No hassle cleaning

The lambskin seat can be unzipped and taken off and washed. Removable padding on the left and right of the spinal canal increases the seat comfort and protects the horse's back.

*All of the bareback pads have large D rings so that stirrups can be attached. My personal opinion stirrups should not be used with bareback pads. Please do so at your own risk. And if you use stirrups please use a safety stirrup in the event of an emergency.
